A Study on Foreign Language Teaching and Vocational Competence Training Based on Outcome-based Education Theory
As an advanced educational concept,OBE(Outcome-Based Education)has been explored in theory and practice for many years in some countries such as the United States,and has formed a relatively complete theoretical system and implementation model.Under the guidance of OBE theory,higher educational institution in China is actively exploring the reform of education and teaching to bet-ter meet the needs of national economic and social development.The study analyzes the relevance between OBE theory and foreign lan-guage teaching.It discusses the core competence of the modern workplace embodied in language skills,communicative competence,cross-cultural awareness and critical thinking,and further provides foreign language students with clear vocational competence objectives and evaluation criteria,so as to improve their vocational competence.
