A Comparative Study of Three English Translations of Wang Wei's Wangchuan Ji Based on Corpus
Based on a self-conducted corpus,the study conducts a comparative study of three English translations of Wang Wei's Wangchuan Ji by Zhang Yin-nan,and Lewis C.Walmsley,G.W.Robinson,and Pauline Yu.It uncovers the linguistic,stylistic and emotional characteristics of the three translations in terms of type-token ratio,lexical density,sentence count,average sentence length,and sentiment polarity.Furthermore,this study elaborates on the sociocultural contexts and translator-related factors that contribute to these differences.
