As museums serve as significant platforms for cultural exchange,the quality of translated interpretative texts directly im-pacts the experience and understanding of international visitors.By analyzing examples of English translations of interpretative texts at the Liao Dynasty Historical and Cultural Museum in Chifeng,this study examines how effective information transmission and accurate cultural expression can be achieved from the perspectives of the purpose principle,coherence principle,and fidelity principle within Skopos theory.This can ensure that the translated text conforms to the expression habits of the target language while accurately conveying the cultural con-tent of the original text.
