When constructing college English assessment system,all aspects of English language ability should be considered,inclu-ding audio-visual speaking skills,reading,writing and translation skills,so as to improve students'comprehensive English application a-bility.This paper aims to deeply explore the problems existing in the evaluation of college English courses under the background of new lib-eral arts construction,and put forward corresponding practical strategies in order to provide valuable references for the innovation and de-velopment of college English education.
