Assembly pressure is one of the important parameters of valve-regulated lead-acid power battery manufacturing process. The effects of assembly pressure on the initial performance, liquid storage capacity, open circuit voltage, pass rate of primary discharge, and the change of wet pressure during the cycle were studied. The results show that too high or too low assembly pressure will affect the performance of the battery. To determine a reasonable range of assembly pressure and maintain a suitable compression ratio can guarantee the initial performance of the battery, the battery liquid storage, the open circuit voltage and the pass rate of a discharge.
