Development and Application of Excel Worksheet for Recording and Automatically Computing in Direction Observation Method of Precisely and Simultaneously Measuring Distances and Angles
The rigorous adjustment theory has proven that the precision of coordinate measurement by the method of simultaneously measuring angles and distances using the total station is higher than that of the method of merely measuring angles or distances,and thereby this method has been widely employed in precise engineering surveys.However,when the number of observation set is great,many total stations have no automatically calculating and checking up large number of observation data.For that,an Excel worksheet of recording and automatically calculating of the method of direction observation with distances and angles simultaneously measured precisely was developed,and it also was successfully applied in the deep excavation monitoring of a metro station in Fuzhou and the monitoring of an earth retaining wall of a cut slope on one side of Yun-Ping Freeway.The efficiency of the real-time processing of the observation data was prominently improved,and allow the original observation and computation data to be more standard,and to be convenient for being stored and checked.The worksheet can also be applied in the recording and automatically computing of the method of direction observation using theodolite,and therefore it has a good applicability and deserves to be popularized to engineering surveys under similar conditions.
