The Impact of Digital Economy Development on Common Prosperity of Enterprises:Promoting or Inhibiting?
The development of digital economy is an important driving force for enterprises to participate in the realization of common prosperity.Based on the data of listed enterprises from 2011 to 2021,this paper measures the level of common prosperity of enterprises from the dimen-sions of primary distribution,redistribution and tertiary distribution,and discusses the impact of the development of digital economy on common prosperity of enterprises and its internal mecha-nism.The results show that the development of digital economy can promote the common prosperi-ty of enterprises,and the conclusion is still valid after various robustness tests;Heterogeneity anal-ysis shows that the development of digital economy can significantly improve the common prosperi-ty of enterprises in regions with high degree of marketization,manufacturing enterprises and state-owned enterprises;The mechanism test shows that the development of digital economy affects the common prosperity of enterprises through labor mismatch reduction effect,human capital upgra-ding effect and productivity improvement effect.Further analysis shows that,driven by the digital economy,primary distribution and redistribution are the main ways for enterprises to participate in achieving common prosperity.This paper clarifies the role of enterprises in participating in the real-ization of common prosperity,and analyzes the impact of digital economy development on common prosperity from the micro-enterprise level,which can provide targeted suggestions for promoting common prosperity.
