The Incentive Effect of Fintech on Enterprise Green Transformation:Based on the Dual Empowerment Perspective of Digitization and Green Governance
Under the background of"beautiful China construction"with green transformation as the core,whether financial technology can effectively incentivize enterprises to realize green transformation has become an important issue in current research.This paper empirically investigates the impact of Fintech on the green transformation of enterprises by using text analysis and panel data analysis methods,utilizing the data of A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2011 to 2022.It is found that Fintech development can significantly promote corporate green transformation,and the conclusion still holds after a series of robustness tests.Mechanism analysis shows that Fintech facilitates corporate green transformation mainly through digital empowerment and green governance empowerment.Heterogeneity analysis reveals that there are differences in the role of Fintech in promoting green transformation for different types of enterprises.This paper enriches the research on the microeconomic effects of Fintech development from the perspective of enterprise green transformation,and the findings are of great theoretical and practical significance for promoting the development of Fintech,realizing the green transformation of enterprises and the national sustainable development strategy.
