Insight and Co-creation:the Impact of Entrepreneurial Characteristics on the Digital Transformation of SMEs
With the rapid development of digital technologies,small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs)face significant pressure to undergo digital transformation.This study,based on the theories of entrepreneurial characteristics and value co-creation,investigates how entrepreneurs'opportunity alertness influences the digital transformation of SMEs'business models through value co-creation behaviors,and examines the moderating role of psychological resilience.Through a survey of 370 SMEs in the Yangtze River Delta region,the findings reveal that opportunity alertness of entrepreneurs significantly enhances firms'information search and integration,resource allocation optimization,and market adaptation capabilities,thereby promoting the digital transformation of business models.Additionally,value co-creation partially mediates the relationship between opportunity alertness and digital transformation,while psychological resilience positively moderates the relationship between opportunity alertness and value co-creation,enhancing its positive impact on digital transformation.The results provide new perspectives on strategic choices and resource allocation for SMEs in the digital age,and emphasize on the importance of cultivating entrepreneurial psychological resilience in digital transformation,which offers theoretical support and practical guidance for promoting digital transformation in SMEs amidst complex and dynamic environments.
