Comparative Study on Spatial Morphological Characteristics of Coastal Cities and Inland Plains Cities Based on Fractal Theory
Fractal theory is an important method to analyze irregular entities in nature, which can effectively reveal the growth and evolution mechanism of urban form. The spatial configuration of coastal cities is influenced by various factors, including the coastline and the topography of the hinterland, and urban space morphological characteristics are different from those of inland cities. Therefore, based on the fractal dimension model, this study performs a horizontal comparison of the external spatial form and internal main functional land use layout of coastal cities and inland cities, identified the spatial morphological characteristics and fractal differences between inland cities and coastal cities, and summarized the factors influencing these morphological differences to inform the optimization and spatial adjustment of urban forms in coastal cities.
