Ecosystem Health Assessment and Control Strategies of Water Network Rural Area Based on VORC Model:A Case Study of Wujiang District
A healthy ecosystem can maintain the vigor and the organization of the ecosystem, resist and adapt to external pressures, and play the role of ecosystem services. This paper takes Wujiang district of Suzhou as an example, the study quantitatively evaluates the health level of the rural ecosystem of the water network based on the model of"vigor(V)-organization(O)-resilience(R)-contribution(C)"and analyzes the health of the ecosystem. The characteristics of spatial differentiation provide a scientific basis for the management and control of ecological space zoning. The research results show that the comprehensive index of ecosystem health in Wujiang district presents the characteristics of discrete high-value areas and clustered low-value areas in terms of spatial distribution, which has a positive spatial correlation.High-value areas of health are mostly concentrated in areas with dense rural water networks, with good ecological environment quality and relatively complete ecological functions;low-value areas of health are mainly concentrated in rural industrial construction cluster areas, affected by the expansion of construction land, the ecological health level of the water network rural area has been declined.Combined with the health level,Wujiang district is divided into four types of spatial control zones:core protection area, ecological buffer area, coordinated development area, and development control area, and differentiated control strategies are proposed in a targeted manner.Ecosystem health assessment can provide basis and reference for the management and control of ecological space divisions, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the water network rural ecosystem.
