An Analysis of Morphological Value of Old Residential Areas Based on Convenience:A Case Study of Mochou Lake Subdistrict in Nanjing
The problem-oriented regeneration of old residential areas often ignores the differentiated characteristics and the value of convenience behind. In order to explore a convenience-based morphological value evaluation method suitable for old residential areas,a quantitative evaluation model is constructed, which takes the street system, plot organization and function layout as key morphological elements.Furthermore, the cluster analysis method is applied to partition according to the balance between the elements.Taking Mochou Lake Subdistrict in Nanjing as an example, the residential area from the 1980s,which is the most urgent for regeneration,is selected for analysis and evaluation. And its morphological value and carriers are clearly presented. In light of this, guiding strategies for the high-value balanced areas, the unbalanced areas, and the low-value balanced areas are separately proposed.
