Exploration of the Production of Consumption Space in Modern and Contemporary Historic Districts Based on Spatial Trialectics:A Case Study of the Liuhe District,Wuhan
In recent years, the spatial production activities in modern and contemporary historic districts of most cities in China have been continuously advancing, yet they exhibit a tendency towards"placelessness"and"lack of differentiation"in their updates. This has particularly resulted in the formation of a number of"symbolized"and"gentrified"consumption spaces. The"invasion"of consumer culture has disrupted the inherent social relations and consumption spaces of these historic districts, leading to the production of new social relations and corresponding emerging consumption spaces. To delve deeply into this phenomenon, this article adopts the theoretical perspective of spatial trialectics and takes the Liuhe area of Wuhan as the research object. It focuses on the synchronous production process of social relations among diverse subjects and their corresponding consumption spaces.Additionally,it attempts to propose optimization suggestions in areas such as differentiated design of consumption spaces to meet the needs of diverse subjects, triadic integrated production action guidelines for consumption spaces aimed at implementation, and the continuation of original residents'social relations based on spatial justice.
