Building a provincial characteristic space system is an effective way to coordinate the protection,display and creative use of human and natural heritage resources,and also an important means to promote regional"convection"and improve the level of balanced development of provincial space.Based on the compilation practice of Guangdong's land space planning,this research explores the technical methods of constructing the provincial characteristic space system by adopting the concept of regional design.The existing theoretical basis and the goal orientation of regional design at the provincial level are discussed.It is proposed that the core spatial elements to be concerned at the provincial scale include spatial base,network structure,important nodes,etc.Through this case study,it is helpful to expand the idea of constructing the characteristic space system in territorial space planning and support the high-quality development of territorial space.
