Research on the Impact of the Revitalization Policy of the Former Central Soviet Area on Basic Public Services in Gannan Areas:A Case Study of Prefecture-Level Cities in Jiangxi Province
Improving the level of basic public services is an important goal of regional revitalization policies.This article takes 22 prefecture-level city in central China as the control group,applies the synthetic control method to assess the effect of the revitalization policy of the Former Central Soviet Area on basic public services in prefecture-level cities of southern Jiangxi,based on the evaluation of their basic public service level.The empirical results indicate that the revitalization policy of the Former Central Soviet Area has significantly improved the level of basic public services in Xinyu,Ganzhou,and Ji'an.However,there are differences in the policy mechanisms relied on by the three cities.Xinyu's policy mechanism is to enhance its attraction to social capital,while main mechanisms of Ganzhou and Ji'an are to expand transfer payments and relax credit constraints.
