Housing Environment,Commuting Time and Residents'Subjective Well-Being:An Empirical Analysis Based on A Survey of Yanjiao Residents
As the two major factors affecting the subjective well-being of residents, housing and commuting problems are hot topics that people pay attention to.Deepening the research on housing and commuting problems is conducive to improving people's livelihood and promoting the healthy and orderly development of cities.Based on 408 questionnaires data from 8 communities, this paper uses the ordered Logit model to explore the effects of housing environment and commuting time on residents'subjective well-being,in order to reflect the real living conditions of Yanjiao residents. The results show that the housing environment as a whole has a positive impact on residents'subjective well-being.However,from the perspective of subdimension, housing price, living area, housing quality and public facilities are highly correlated with residents'subjective well-being,while the relationship between residential landscape, housing convenience, neighborhood relations and residents'subjective well-being is not significant.Secondly, the longer the commuting time, the lower the subjective well-being of residents, and the housing environment will play a compensatory effect on the negative impact of commuting time. Finally, residents'happiness shows significant differences in education level, household registration type and housing property ownership, and these differences are significantly affected by housing environment and commuting time.
