Review,Comparison and Inspirations of Foreign Urban Green Space Quality Assessment Tools
China's urban green space development has entered a phase that emphasizes both improving quality and expanding quantity.Evaluation tools play a crucial role in evidence-based management of green space quality, and prior knowledge offers valuable insights for studying these tools.Using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA)and grounded theory, this article identifies 18 international green space quality evaluation tools.First,it compares the tools in five aspects:development purpose, evaluation content, evaluation methods, result formats, and target populations.Second,it examines similarities and differences in terms of evaluation content, lineage relationships, and usability.Lastly,it summarizes five limitations of these tools:comprehensiveness and contentiousness of evaluation content, attention to vulnerable groups, information collection methods, and reproducibility.Based on these findings, the article proposes two overarching insights:the need for a clear conceptual definition of green space quality and the development of categorized tools.Additionally,it offers four detailed recommendations regarding evaluation content, methods, target populations, and the reliability and validity of the tools. This study aims to provide a reference for the development of green space quality evaluation tools in China.
