教育家与时代精神

2023年教师节前夕,习近平总书记致信全国优秀教师代表时勉励全国广大教师"以教育家为榜样,大力弘扬教育家精神",并从理想信念、道德情操、育人智慧、躬耕态度、仁爱精神、弘道追求六个方面提出了具体要求.这不但为教育现代化提供了精神支柱,而且为建设教育强国提供了行动指南.基于此,我们不能停留于对具体要求的阐释,必须从宏观与微观的结合上正确把握中国教育家精神的深刻内涵、整体特质和时代气息,特别是要同现代教育紧密结合起来.本期的四篇文章分别从中国教育家精神的内构性特点、教育家精神的内在理路、教育家与时代精神、教育家精神的超越性向度等视角各抒己见,但又彼此关联,为中国教育家精神的培育提供新的思路.
On the eve of Teachers'Day in 2023,General Secretary Xi Jinping wrote to the representatives of the nation's outstand-ing teachers,calling on teachers nationwide to"follow the example of great Chinese educators and carry forward their legacy".Xi also encouraged teachers to develop themselves into great educators with patriotic beliefs,strong moral values,pedagogical wisdom,a good work ethic,benevolent love,and Dao-promoting commitment.The legacy of those great educators is,in fact,not only a source of inspiration for teachers,but also provides us guidance on building China into a leading country in education.To better un-derstand and promote their legacy,this panel discussion presents four essays analyzing the intrinsic features and"inner logic"of the legacy of great Chinese educators,as well as its relevance to China's education modernization.These essays also explain how those great educators were influenced by the"Zeitgeist"(i.e.spirit of the time)and why their legacy remains vibrant and significant even today.
