Abstract
Including 'new literacies' in language curriculum meets students learning styles in the 21st century. Students in the 21st century, who have been born into a world of technology with wide access to the Internet, become the largest group in using Inter-net and social media.A study conducted by Smith,Rainie,&Zickuhr (2011) showed that nearly 100% college students (undergrad-uate and graduate students) access the internet on a daily basis. Therefore, the learning styles of these'netizrns',with the wide range of technological assistance, are just different from that of the previous generations.Given that, curriculum designers have the responsi-bilities to blend new literacies in students' courses in order to meet the learning habits of the latest generation and maximize the learning outcomes of students.
