The US-EU-UK Artificial Intelligence Race and Its Prospects
Artificial Intelligence(AI)technology rapidly empowers all areas of society and drives a new round of competition in the international community.The US,EU,and the UK,as well as other major Western countries and national alliances,have been particularly active in this AI-induced power struggle,which is mainly reflected in the focus of AI policymaking,the continuous expansion of the scale of investment,the uneven innovation capacity,and the increasingly fierce competition for talents.In the future,the US,EU,and the UK will further engage in fierce competition around technology,economy,military,governance,and other areas involved in AI by increasing scientific research and policy support,promoting the combination of production and research,expanding critical investments,and perfecting norms and standards.In this process,although the US has a more significant first-mover advantage,its ability to maintain technological dominance is gradually declining,while the EU and the UK excel in the fields of regulation and talent but are also subject to more significant development constraints due to internal disagreements and lack of economic strength.
