In order to understand the migration and deposition behaviors of engineering nanomaterials in groundwater environment, the corresponding research status is reviewed, including the characteristics and stability of engineering nanomaterial, the theory and mechanism of the migration and deposition, and the influence of environmental factors on migration and deposition. The measures to enhance the migration of engineering nanomaterials in aquifers are also explored.Futural directions and challenges in the study on the migration and deposition behaviors of engineering nanomaterials are proposed, such as the study on the migration model, the integration between multiscale simulation and experiment, and the full lifecycle of engineering nanomaterials,in order to improve the efficiency and feasibility of enhancing migration methods. This review aims to provide practical guidance and references for the application of in situ reactive barrier remediation technologies.
