Four kinds of zinc-based heteropoly acid ionic liquid catalysts are prepared, and characterized by means of FTIR,UV,TGA and SEM.They are employed to catalyze the reaction between dimethyl glutarate and ethylene carbonate to synthesize polyethylene glutarate that is measured and analyzed by means of FTIR,TGA,DSC,CTM and GPC.The results show that[Bmim]6ZnW11TiO39(H2O)catalyst presents the best catalytic effect. The yield of the prepolymer of polyethylene glutarate reaches 59.27%and the selectivity reaches 63.59%over[Bmim]6ZnW11TiO39(H2O)catalyst when the reaction temperature is 220℃,the reaction has performed for 4.5 h,the molar ratio of dimethyl glutarate to ethylene carbonate is 1∶1.5,and the dosage of catalyst is 0.8%that of total feed mass. The optimum temperature for the polycondensation reaction is 235℃,the prepared polyethylene glutarate reaches the highest molecular weight, and shows good thermal stability, tensile properties and biodegradability.
