H-MOR and Cu/H-MOR catalysts are prepared through hydrothermal method with hexamethyleneimine as template, and evaluated in dimethyl ether carbonylation reaction. In order to study the impact of Cu doping on the performance of the catalyst, the characterization technologies such as XRD,SEM,nitrogen adsorption/desorption,ICP-AES,NH3-TPD and NH3-TPD are employed to characterize the prepared catalysts. It is indicated that the addition of Cu enhances the acid amount and strength of the catalyst, while promotes the adsorption of CO by the catalyst, thereby improving its reaction performance. The evaluation under the conditions of 200℃,1.0 MPa,and 2 040 mL/(g·h)shows that as the doping amount of Cu increases to 2.36%,the performance of the catalyst reaches the optimal, over which the conversion of dimethyl ether is 58%and the selectivity of methyl acetate reaches 95%.
