Naphthylamine modified carbon quantum dots(CQDs-NA)are prepared via the Schiff base condensation reaction by making use of the reaction between naphthylamine and carbonyl(C=O)on the surface of CQDs,and their performance is evaluated in the degradation of organic pollutants under visible light irradiation.Experimental results show that the removal rate of rhodamine B over the prepared CQDs-NA reaches 95%within 1 h.It is shown by free radical quenching experiments that the main active species of CQDs-NA/PMS/Light system include superoxide radical(O2·-),which acts together with h+to degrade rhodamine B.It is verified through DFT study that the addition of NA enhances the visible light absorption range, adjusts effectively the electronic structure of CQDs and facilitates the separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs, thus improving the photocatalytic ability. This study provides a reference for the design and synthesis of efficient photocatalysts.
