The rapid development of lithium battery market for power,energy storage and 3C in China has led to the continuous expansion of production scale of lithium-ion battery separator,and the demand for special polyolefin for lithium-ion battery separator has increased greatly.This paper introduces the general situation of China's lithium battery separator industry,analyzes the supply and demand situation of the special ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and polypropylene for lithium-ion battery separator,and furthermore predicts the development prospect of special polyolefin for lithium-ion battery separator.The problems such as high dependence on imports of special polyolefin are also analyzed.Four proposals are put forward,such as strengthening the research and development in the whole industry chain,deepening the integration of the upstream,midstream and downstream firms in supply chain,improving the service awareness and brand awareness,and planning the layout of the equipment and positioning of the products.
