The mechanism of carbon quantum dots(CDs)regulating photosynthesis and its application in promoting carbohydrate accumulation are systematically reviewed.The regulation of photosynthesis by CDs can increase chlorophyll content,accelerate electron transfer,and increase Rubisco enzyme activity.The application of CDs can promote the synthesis of plant chlorophyll,improve the ability of plants to capture light energy,accelerate the transfer rate of photosynthetic electrons,and then accelerate the transformation of light energy into active chemical energy in photosynthesis.Concurrently,it can enhance the activity of Rubisco enzyme in the dark reaction of photosynthesis,thereby facilitating the accumulation of carbohydrates.The research progress on CDs regulated photosynthesis to promote plant growth are summarized,providing a theoretical basis for the future application of CDs in the field of biological carbon sequestration.
