A method is established for the quantitative analysis of eight typical thiophene-series sulfur compounds in coal tar by full two-dimensional gas chromatography with hydrogen flame detector(GC×GC-FID),which is in fact an external standard method.The linear correlation coefficients of the standard curves for the eight sulfur-containing compounds range from 0.999 0 to 0.999 9.The detection limits are between 0.19 mg·L-1 and 0.26 mg·L-1.The spiked recovery rates are between 100.0%and 115.0%,and the relative standard deviations(RSD)range from 0.72%to 5.5%(n=6).The method is simple,reproducible,and suitable for the quantitative analysis of thiophene-series sulfur-containing compounds in coal tar,providing a theoretical basis for re-utilization of coal tar.
