Design of an ocean drilling platform training and teaching system based on Metaverse
In response to the problems of low student participation,poor learning enthusiasm,and difficulty in eliciting emo-tional resonance in traditional offshore drilling platform training teaching,Metaverse technology is introduced into offshore drilling platform training teaching to construct a Metaverse space that reflects the real offshore drilling platform.The teaching system is divided into three major functional modules:platform building,platform roaming,and platform cognition.3D Max is used to estab-lish a 3D model and create model animations.Unreal Engine 4 is used as the development engine for scene rendering and interactive design.Students can interact with the Metaverse through HTC Vive devices to carry out ocean drilling platform roaming experience and interactive learning.Teaching practice has shown that the system has played a positive role in promoting practical teaching.
