Chinese medicine culture is the treasure of the Chinese nation is an important part of China's excellent traditional culture.In order to promote the excellent traditional culture,this study designs and implements a mixed reality(MR)teaching system for Chinese medicine preparation based on Unity3D development engine and HoloLens2 from Microsoft.By building a virtual simulation environment and human-computer interaction functions,this system can enable users to learn the process of collection,processing,and formulation making of traditional Chinese medicine in an immersive way.Based on the process of Chinese medi-cine preparation,we build an educational game that integrates STEAM education concepts,design the system functional modules,and propose the system development environment and development technology route.The experimental study shows that the system can greatly stimulate the users'learning fun,improve the initiative of acquiring knowledge in the process of experience,which is conducive to the inheritance of traditional culture of Chinese medicine and the dissemination of cultural knowledge,and it is an innovative form of displaying and disseminating the culture of traditional Chinese medicine,which provides a reference for the sub-sequent research.
