Design and simulation of experiment for planning a high reliability campus network
Uninterrupted services are essential for campus network,so reliability has become a key factor to consider in plan-ning campus network.There is a risk of single point of failure in the single core network.The dual core network can reduce the risk of single point of failure,but other problems arise such as network loops and idle links.In this paper,a planning of high reliability campus network based on MSTP,VRRP and link aggregation is put forward.MSTP is used to eliminate loops and load sharing traf-fic of different VLANs,VRRP is used to provide backup gateway and load sharing traffic to external,and link aggregation is used to increase bandwidth between cores and backup links.A simulation experiment is designed based on eNSP to simulate the campus network planned.The simulation results show that this planning can effectively reduce the risk of single point of failure and im-prove the reliability of campus network.
