Effect of fused deposition molding process parameters on the mechanical properties of ULTEM9085
In this study,ULTEM9085 wire was used as the fused deposition molding(FDM)printing material, and tensile strength was used as the evaluation index.Orthogonal experiments were designed to study the influence of path width, filling angle, contour quantity and other forming process parameters on the mechanical properties and fracture behavior of FDM printed parts. The results show that as the path width increases, the mechanical properties of the sample decrease. The frac-ture elongation of the 0/90° filled part is lower than that of the 45/90° filled part, while the mechanical properties of the two are equivalent.Increasing the number of contour circles can improve the mechanical properties of the part to a certain extent, but with an increase in voids, and the performance improvement is not significant.
