NC simulation machining of a rocket combustion chamber shell based on VERICUT
The shell of the rocket combustion chamber is complicated in structure and high in precision requirements.It is impossible to judge the correctness of the program manually for its many machining features and complex NC program.Prob-lems such as collision,interference and over/under cutting are easy to occur during machining,and the processing quality is not easy to guarantee.Aiming at the problem,the NC simulation machining of the shell is carried out based on VERICUT to simulate the actual machining process.Firstly,according to the structure characteristics of the shell,a four-axis machining center is adopted to solve the complex profile characteristics,and the 3D model of the machining center is established in UG.Secondly,a four-axis virtual machining center is established in VERICUT according to the actual machine tool motion rela-tionship,and corresponding parameters are configured to complete the establishment of the simulation machining system.Fi-nally,the machining of the shell is simulated to verify the correctness of the NC program.The verified program is applied to the actual machining,and the machining results fully verify the correctness and effectiveness of the four-axis virtual machi-ning center established in this study.
