Discussion on the Defects of Quadrupole Electronic RCD Used for Single-Phase Load
The theoretical feasibility of using quadrupole electronic RCD for single-phase loads is studied.By using examples and theoretical analysis,it has been proven that single-phase load imbalance does not affect the operational characteristics of quadrupole electronic RCD.By using examples to analyze the interference of natural leakage current on single-phase load grounding faults,it is found that the culprit causing the misoperation of quadrupole electronic RCD is the natural leakage current. It is proposed that connecting a four pole RCD to a single-phase load is prone to a"zero break"accident, and the use of a "3P+N"pole RCD can avoid such accidents.
