Research on the Application of WF-IoT Technology in Railway Tunnel Lighting
Converged Internet of Things(WF-IoT)technology is widely used in IoT systems with the advantages of independent networking and multiple wireless nodes.The traditional railway tunnel lighting system has a complex structure.It requires separate cables for power supply and control of luminaires.In the meantime,remote monitoring also needs deployment of communication networks.This leads to the higher cable consumption and longer construction cycle.To overcome the shortcomings of traditional system,tunnel lighting control and remote monitoring system based on Wide area Fusion Internet of Things(WF-IoT)is developed in this paper.The system adopts LED light source with WF-IoT protocol as tunnel lighting fixture.Each luminaire is controlled independently and all luminaires are used as communication nodes to form a centerless wireless Internet of Things in the tunnel.Thus,the lighting system is connected to the railway network through a gateway to achieve remote monitoring and management.The lighting control cabinets,control wires or communication cables is no longer needed in this system.It can not only meet the needs of patrol lighting,but also realize the preset of lighting modes.The WF-IoT wireless network can also be used to monitor other devices in the tunnel.We provide a new solution for railway tunnel lighting.
