Application of the four-in-one flipped classroom based on rain classroom in standardized residency teaching of oral mucosa diseases
Objective To explore the application effect of the four-in-one flipped classroom based on rain classroom in standardized residency teaching of oral mucosa diseases. Methods The experimental control method was used.In August 2021,seventy-four stomatology residents who were trained in department of stomatology,Union Hospital,Tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology enrolled in 2019 and 2020 were selected as the objects and were randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 37 in each. The experimental group adopted the four-in-one flipped classroom teaching method based on rain classroom, while the control group adopted the traditional teaching method. The teaching effect was evaluated through the theoretical test results and questionnaire survey. Results The theoretical test scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than that of the control group[(85.14±7.64)vs(77.03±6.65)],with statistical significance(P<0.05).In terms of overall teaching effect, improving theoretical knowledge study, enhancing analytical and problem-solving ability, improving study interest, etc.,the satisfaction of students between the experimental group and the control group to their respective teaching methods was compared and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The four-in-one flipped classroom teaching method based on rain classroom can improve the test results of theoretical knowledge, receive high evaluation from students and may help raise teaching efficiency and teaching quality. In the future, how to apply this teaching method to guide residents to improve their diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities in oral mucosal diseases still needs further exploration.
