Expression and significance of FNDC1 gene in oral cavity based on transcriptome sequencing and bioinformatics analysis
Objective To investigate the expression level and function of FNDC1 in oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC).Methods Using bioinformatics,transcriptome sequencing,and cell experiments,the expression level of FNDC1 in OSCC and its possible mechanism of action in OSCC were detected.Results FNDC1 was highly expressed in OSCC tissue(P＜0.05),and the area under the curve(AUC)of FNDC1 expression was 0.804,indicating a strong correlation between FNDC1 and OSCC diagnosis.It was also found that the expression level of FNDC1 was correlated with smoking(P＜0.05),clinical staging(P＜0.001),and pathological staging(P＜0.001).FNDC1 is highly correlated with cell malignancy and has higher levels of expression in fibroblasts and myofibroblasts.FNDC1 has a high correlation with various immune cells.Conclusion This study confirms that FNDC1 is highly expressed in OSCC and is associated with the progression of OSCC.
