Design of the experimental course for thermostability determination of protein
In the face of breakthroughs and advancements in biotechnology, the advent of polypeptide protein drugs has catalyzed a profound transformation in the diagnosis and treatment of human diseases. As these polypeptide protein drugs evolve rapidly,it is becoming increasingly essential to bolster knowledge related to these drug among undergraduate students, particularly those majoring in life sciences and associated fields. To cater to this need,we have architected a unique experimental course that incorporates heat stability testing of purified proteins or peptides as a central research topic. This experimental course is designed to utilize thermal stability assays for the analysis of protein structure stability, and is tailored for undergraduate students in life sciences and related majors. The course aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the relationship between protein structure and function,in order to broaden the academic horizons of undergraduate students, and enhance their capabilities in conducting relevant scientific research and adapting to the evolving trends in the pharmaceutical industry.
