Influencing factors of preoperative blood transfusion requirements in elderly patients with intertrochanteric hip fracture
Objective:To investigate the influencing factors of preoperative blood transfusion requirements in elderly patients with intertrochanteric hip fracture. Methods:A total of 51 elderly patients with intertrochanteric hip fracture admitted to the hospital from January to December 2022 were selected retrospectivelyand divided into the blood transfusion group and the non-blood transfusion group.Relevant data of the two groups were analyzed andlogistic regression analysis was performed to screen the influencing factors of preoperative blood transfusion requirements. Results:Among the 51 patients,43 patients received blood transfusion and 8 did not before operation. There were significant differences between the two groups in terms of other cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,Hb and ALB at admission, and use history of anticoagulant drugs(P<0.05).Multivariate analysis foundthat other cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and Hb at admission were influencing factors of preoperative blood transfusion requirements(P<0.05).Conclusion:Clinically,attention should be paid to patients with intertrochanteric hip fracturewho have cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and low Hb level at admission so as to help carry out targeted and effective blood transfusion.
