Correlation between diabetes mellitus and restenosis incidence after intracranial arterial stenting
Objective:To analyze the correlation between diabetes mellitus and restenosis after intracranial arterial stenting.Methods:193 patients who received intracranial artery stent implantation in our hospital were collected. To analyze whether the history of diabetes, course of diabetes, fasting blood glucose level, standard deviation of blood glucose level, blood glucose fluctuation and other factors were related to the occurrence of restenosis after intracranial arterial stenting. Results:The incidence of postoperative restenosis in hyperglycemia group was significantly higher than that in normal blood glucose group(P<0.05).History of diabetes, fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, duration of diabetes and maximum fluctuation of blood glucose in the non-restenosis group were all lower than those in the restenosis group(P<0.05);The high density lipoprotein level and medication compliance of non-restenosis group were significantly higher than those of restenosis group(P<0.05).The duration of diabetes mellitus, maximum fluctuation of blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin were independently correlated with intrastent restenosis after intracranial arterial stenting. Conclusion:The incidence of restenosis after intracranial arterial stenting is higher in diabetic patients. The course of diabetes, maximum fluctuation of blood sugar and glycosylated hemoglobin may be related to the occurrence of restenosis.
