Predictive value of prognostic nutritional index for adverse events in patients with acute myocardial infarction
Objective:To investigate the predictive value of prognostic nutritional index(PNI)for adverse events in elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods:The clinical data of 192 elderly patients with AMI who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention were analyzed retrospectively, and we analyzed the influencing factors of adverse events and the predictive value of PNI for adverse events. Results:Adverse events occurred in 78(40.63%)patients in our cohort. There were significant differences in age,Killip cardiac grade≥3,albumin,PNI,and left ventricular ejection fraction between the two groups(P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that age,Killip cardiac grade≥3,and PNI were independent risk factors for adverse endpoint events in elderly patients with AMI(all P<0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of PNI for predicting adverse events of elderly AMI was 0.831,and the sensitivity and specificity were 94.9%and 52.6%,respectively.Conclusion:PNI has a good predictive value for adverse events in elderly patients with AMI.
