Research on Temperature Compensation of Residual Chlorine Sensor Based on Constant Voltage Method
Free residual chlorine is an important index in the management of drinking water quality as a disinfectant with strong oxidation capacity.Compared with DPD spectrophotometric method, constant voltage residual chlorine sensor is more suitable for on-line monitoring of residual chlorine content in water bodies such as tap water and swimming pool water, due to its advantages of convenient maintenance and short response time. However, the measurement results of residual chlorine sensor are greatly influenced by the environment, especially temperature. In the process of exploring the influence of temperature on constant voltage residual chlorine sensor, the relationship between temperature and residual chlorine is explored by combining the Van't Hoff equation, and the temperature compensation algorithm is established. The temperature compensation coefficient is calculated through a series of experiments, and the rationality and applicability of this algorithm are verified, which further improves the stability of the constant voltage method for measuring residual chlorine. This study promotes the convenience of on-line monitoring of residual chlorine, reduces the maintenance cost, and expands the application range.
