Application of piezoelectric incision in orthodontic treatment of anterior teeth under severe crowding
Objectives:To evaluate the effectiveness of flapless compression-assisted corticotomy in accelerating the alignment of lower anterior teeth. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 76 patients admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to January 2021 who required the use of fixed orthodontic appliances for orthodontic treatment. They were divided into an experimental group and a control group based on different treatment methods, with 36 patients in each group.Compare the total alignment time(OAT)required for mandibular arch anterior alignment between two groups of patients. Results:There was no statistically significant difference in the Little's index(mm)and overall alignment time(days)between the experimental group and the control group in LIIT0(mm)(P>0.05).The experimental group showed statistically significant differences in LIIT1,LIIT2,LIIT3,and OAT(day)compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:The valveless cutting technique has a significant effect in accelerating orthodontic tooth movement and is worth promoting.
