Independent risk factors and intervention strategies for infusion leakage in pediatrics department
Objective:To explore the independent risk factors affecting the occurrence of infusion leakage in pediatrics and analyze intervention strategies. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 80 pediatric patients treated in our hospital's pediatrics department from July 2018 to June 2022.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the independent risk factors for infusion leakage. Results:It was found that vascular status, medication use, catheter material, puncture site, patient cooperation, nursing staff experience, family emotions, and knowledge level were all independent risk factors for leakage. Conclusion:In pediatric infusion,it is necessary to reasonably select blood vessels and catheter materials based on the patient's vascular conditions and cooperation, improve the nursing staff's operational skills, strengthen inspections and health education during the infusion process, and enhance observation when administering irritating drugs to reduce the occurrence of pediatric infusion leakage.
