Exploring the Rehabilitation Strategy for Post-stroke Dysphagia Based on the Knowledge-Attitude-Practice Model
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of the Knowledge-Attitude-Practice(KAP)model in intervening with post-stroke dysphagia patients.Method:A total of 84 patients with post-stroke dysphagia from Anhui Second People's Hospital were randomly divided into a control group and an intervention group, receiving conventional intervention and KAP model intervention respectively, for a duration of 3 months. The assessments included knowledge, attitude, and practice scores, swallowing function, and quality of life before and after the intervention. Results:Following the intervention, the knowledge, attitude, and practice scores of the intervention group were significantly higher(P<0.05).The excellent and good rate of swallowing function in the intervention group was 90.48%,notably higher than the 71.43%of the control group(P<0.05).Post-intervention,the intervention group showed higher scores in all domains of quality of life(P<0.05).Conclusion:The intervention based on the KAP model significantly enhances the knowledge, attitude, and practice levels of post-stroke dysphagia patients, improves swallowing function, and elevates their quality of life.
