Study on the correlation between NAFLD and carotid arteriosclerosis based on ultrasound diagnosis
Purpose:This study aims to establish and validate a prediction model for predicting carotid arteriosclerosis in patients with NAFLD based on ultrasound diagnosis. Methods:We retrospectively collected patients with NAFLD diagnosed by menstrual ultrasound in our hospital from 2021 to September 2023,analyzed their independent predictors of carotid arteriosclerosis, and then established a model for internal and external validation. Results:A total of 350 NAFLD patients diagnosed by ultrasound were included.BMI,diabetes, smoking history,TC,and TG were identified as independent risk factors for carotid arteriosclerosis to establish a model. The AUC of the model was 0.865,and the AUC of the external validation set was 0.811.It shows the stability and reliability of the model. Conclusion:This study successfully established a prediction model based on ultrasound diagnosis of carotid arteriosclerosis in patients with NAFLD,which has good prediction accuracy.
