Effects of iTBS and tDCS on somatosocial anhedonia in patients with schizophrenia
Objective:To observe the effects of intermittent theta burst stimulation(iTBS)and transcranial direct current stimulation(tDCS)on somatosocial anhedonia in patients with schizophrenia.Methods:91 schizophrenic patients were randomly divided into iTBS group(47 cases)and tDCS group(44 cases),and given iTBS treatment and tDCS treatment respectively. The scores of Somatic anhedonia Scale(RPAS-C),Social Pleasure Scale(RSAS-C),Positive and Negative Symptom Scale(PANSS)and the levels of related neurotransmitters in the left forebrain were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results:RPAS-C,RSAS-C,negative symptom, general psychopathological symptom score and PANSS total score after treatment were lower than before treatment(P<0.05),Glu,DA and GABA levels in left forebrain area were higher than before treatment(P<0.05).The improvement of the above indexes in iTBS group was better than that in tDCS group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Both iTBS and tDCS can effectively improve anhedonia symptoms in patients with schizophrenia, and iTBS is more effective than tDCS.
