Aesthetic and bone metabolism effects of high-strength fiber periodontal splint in repairing periodontitis tooth defects
Objective:To explore the aesthetic and bone metabolism effects of high-strength fiber periodontal splints in repairing periodontitis tooth defects.Methods:114 patients with chronic periodontitis and tooth defects who visited our hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected for group treatment, and the effects, inflammatory factors, bone metabolism, and other multidimensional indicators of resin splints and high-strength fiber splints were compared. Results:After treatment, the clinical efficacy of both groups of patients improved, with the observation group showing better results(P<0.05).The observation group showed a decrease in inflammatory factors,an increase in BAP,and a decrease in CTX,all of which were superior to the control group(P<0.05).There were no serious complications in both groups. The red aesthetic score(PES),improvement degree of gingival groove bacterial microbiota, and patient satisfaction in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05)..Conclusion:High strength fiber periodontal splint has a good effect on repairing periodontitis tooth defects, improving bone metabolism and periodontal condition, reducing inflammatory factors, promoting bacterial balance, and increasing satisfaction.
