Risk factors for DVT after secondary trauma fracture analysed by propensity score matching methods
Objective:To analyse the risk factors of postoperative deep vein thrombosis(DVT)after secondary trauma fracture based on propensity score matching(PSM).Methods:Clinical data of a total of 488 patients with secondary trauma fractures in the operating room of Xi'an Daxing Hospital were retrospectively collected from July 2020 to June 2024,and the PSM was applied to match the data of the patients with postoperative DVT after secondary trauma fracture with the 1:1 nearest neighbour. Results:Among 488 cases of secondary traumatic fractures,112 cases(22.95%)developed DVT.After PSM,200 cases were included(matching rate of 40.98%),with no baseline differences between the two groups. The DVT group had a higher proportion of diabetes and family history of thrombosis, longer bed rest time, and higher levels of D-D and FIB(P<0.01).The independent risk factors were longer bed rest time, and higher levels of D-D and FIB(P<0.05).Conclusion:Longer postoperative bed rest and higher levels of D-D as well as FIB in patients with secondary trauma fractures are independent risk factors for the development of DVT after secondary trauma fractures.
