Application of transrectal ultrasound combined with IPSAD in early diagnosis of prostate cancer
Objective To investigate the value of transrectal ultrasound(TRUS)combined with inner gland region prostate specific antigen density(IPSAD)in the early diagnosis of prostate cancer(PCa)..Methods A total of 87 patients with PCa admitted to our hospital from June 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the PCa group, and 87 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)admitted during the same period were selected as the BPH group.TRUS combined with IPSAD was evaluated to analyze its diagnostic efficacy for PCa.Results The proportion of unclear prostatic boundary, unclear internal and external gland boundary, abnormal blood flow signal and low echo nodule in PCa group was higher than that in BPH group(P<0.05).The volume of gland area in PCa group was lower than that in BPH group, and prostate specific antigen(PSA)and IPSAD in BPH group were higher than those in BPH group(P<0.05).The area under curve(AUC)of TRUS combined with IPSAD was 0.955,which was higher than that of TRUS(0.816)and IPSAD(0.872)(P<0.05).The specificity, accuracy and positive predictive value of TRUS combined with IPSAD in the diagnosis of PCa were higher than those of TRUS and IPSAD(P<0.05).Conclusion TRUS features combined with IPSAD can improve the specificity, accuracy and positive predictive value of PCa diagnosis.
