Application of blue light imaging and chemical staining techniques in the classification of laterally spreading tumor of the large intestine
Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of blue light imaging(BLI-bright)combined with chemical staining techniques in the classification of lateral spreading tumor(LST)of the large intestine.Methods:150 patients(with 168 lesions)diagnosedwith LST admitted from January 2021 to January 2024,and performed BLI-bright combined with chemical staining technique examination. We compared the consistency between the results and postoperative pathological findings.Results:BLI-bright+chemical staining typing:The diagnostic sensitivity for various types of tumors ranged from 50.00%(type ⅢS vs.SMd)to 90.68%(types ⅢL and Ⅳ vs.LGD/HGD),with specificity ranging from 78.00%(types ⅢL and Ⅳ)to 98.75%(type ⅢS).When combined with diagnosis, the sensitivity and specificity could reach 100.00%and 96.88%,respectively,with overall accuracy ranging from 91.67%to 97.02%,AUC ranging from 0.741 to 0.984,and Kappa ranging from 0.512 to 0.747.Conclusion:BLI-bright combined with chemical staining technology can accurately reveal the Pit-type microstructure of LST,which holds high clinical application value in determining the benign or malignant nature of tumors.
